Aid Zomi is happy to sponsor a ‘Concert for the Hungry’ concert in Lamka organized by COMFA (Committee on Mautaam Famine AID) on September 2008. Aid Zomi regrets the delay in giving detailed reports to donors as it took longer time than expected to communicate with COMFA.

Education for children has always been the heart of Aid Zomi. Apart from its commitment to aid the Mautaam victims, Aid Zomi has extended its support to 16 financially challenged children of HIV victims inIndia in January 2009 through a non-profit organization called AIGUPTA.

Lamka, January 03, 2009 (02:00 PM): The president of AID Zomi met with a local NGO by the name Action Integrated Gendres' United Participating in Transformation Approach (AIGUPTA). Challenges faced by the many AIDS victims and their families in Lamka, Manipur were discussed.

AID Zomi, in its earlier conference meeting on December 06, 2008, has also decided to donate some of its funds to help pay the school admission fees of some of the children of financially challenged AIDS victims in Lamka. The selection process and admission of (selected) students to their schools will be carried out by AIGUPTA.
